About Me

I live and work on Mount Desert Island. I began studying massage at Heartwood Institute for Healing Arts in 1986. Afterwards I attended College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, and graduated with a degree in Human Ecology in 1989. I studied how humans are part of the interconnected web of life. An effective way to make change and support a healthy environment, is through an integrated, and multi-discipline approach. Human Ecology dovetails with my  philosophy about health and healing. All of the body systems are connected. Healing pain and maintaining health, includes an interdisciplinary approach for the whole person. Integrating the muscular, structural, and nervous system, with movement awareness, and mental health.  I enjoy working as a team, with your other healthcare practitioners.

I continued to study massage at the Muscular Therapy Institute, which had a rigorous curriculum of anatomy and orthopedic rehabilitation. In 1992, I became board certified with the National Board of Certification in Massage and Bodywork. I have enjoyed many continuing education classes and programs since then. Please see my credentials from my home page.

My office is in Northeast Harbor, Maine.  Scheduling is done through phone, and text. I look forward to hearing from you. See contact link in this website.
