CranioSacral (SM)

1 hour minutes: $100
45 minutes minutes: $75

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that works with the nervous system, and energy patterns in the body. CranioSacral Therapy is effective in releasing pain, and tension in the body, especially in the neck, and back. TMJ, headaches, restricted range of motion, scar tissue, and spinal degeneration are commonly helped with CranioSacral. CranioSacral eases stress, and calms areas of neurological irregularity. Myofascial release techniques are part of a CranioSacral treatment.  Developed by  Dr. John Upledger, and based on theories from Dr. William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing, relaxing and healing experience.

This technique is done with clothing or can be done in combination with other techniques. Read more about CranioSacral Therapy at Facts and Questions on upledger.com

Myofascial Release

1 hour: $100
45 minutes: $80
30 minutes: $45

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. Slow sustained touch is used to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct Myofascial Release is strong pressure, and often known as deep tissue work. Indirect Myofascial Release applies light pressure and slowly gently stretches the fascia. Most of the Myofascial Release that I do is gentle Indirect Myofascial Release.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

1 hour minutes: $110
45 minutes minutes: $80
30 minutes minutes: $45

I am not certified in Manual Lymph Drainage. If you have acute lymphedema, please find a certified LANA therapist for Manual Lymph Drainage. I work with people who are not in an acute situation. Lymphatic Drainage Massage aims to gently and rhythmically move lymph, especially areas that have congestion and swelling. Lymph Drainage relieves pressure and enhances the functioning of the immune system. Lymph Drainage Massage can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from scars, and lymphedema. Lymph Drainage can assist in Myofascial Release. It supports a healthy immune system, but it is not done when someone has an acute infection or fever. Lymph Drainage Massage can be mixed into most sessions, or be the focus of a session.

Infant Massage

varies for class or individual : varies with time

In Infant Massage, I assist a parent or guardian to do massage with their baby. Infant Massage promotes healthy neurological development, can help with colic, and self soothing. Massage is wonderful way to spend bonding time with your child. Caring human touch, and communication are key for a healthy thriving baby.  Infant massage has also been shown to improve the quality of a baby's sleep, as well as strengthening their immune system.

Breast Massage

varies with need: flexible

Breast Massage and Consultations. Breast Massage incorporates massage strokes, Myofascial release, and Lymph Drainage.  You will be covered with a sheet on your body inconjunction with a towel across your chest. Draping will be to your comfort level. Breast massage can assist with your connection to your breast health, knowledge about your body, and self exam. Before and after surgery, massage can promote healing. I can work with scars, Myofascial Release, range of motion, Lymph Drainage and pain. Breast massage can also help with lactation, premenstrual swelling, and menopausal changes in the breasts. Breast massage is done with sensitivity to draping, boundaries, and within a personal comfort zone.

Consultations show you how to do self massage. During self massage a woman can become familiar with the structures and textures of her breasts. This process can assist women in recognizing changes in their breasts. Self massage can move stagnant fluids, assist with blocked ducts, and lactation problems, and ease pain. The consultation and self massage can ease anxiety about breast exams, and mammograms.
